Inveso Real Estate and Scius Partners have divested Skanska‘s headquarters in Kungsholmen, Stockholm to a fund managed by DWS, a part of Deutsche Bank.
The 20,500 sq.m. office building is fully leased to Skanska and was acquired from the construction giant by Invesco, with Scius as its local partner, for 1 billion SEK in Q3 2014. The current price of the property has not been made public.
“We were able to secure this property in an off-market transaction through our on-the-ground partner in Sweden, Scius Partners, who has also managed the property since acquisition. Skanska designed a cutting edge, sustainable office building that meets the highest environmental and technical standards from which the new owner can benefit in the future. We are very pleased to have achieved our business plan and deliver good performance for our investors. Invesco Real Estate still has a positive view of the Nordic property market and we continue to seek further opportunities for our clients in this region,” says Rob Johnston, Senior Director – Transactions, UK and Nordics at Invesco Real Estate, in a press release.
Nordanö and Linklaters acted as advisers to Invesco Real Estate and Newsec advised DWS.
