Atrium Ljungberg has divested Västberga Handel in Stockholm to Serena Properties, a vehicle owned by Balder, Finnish mutual pension company Varma and Redito and managed by Redito. The deal is made based on an underlying asset value of 437 million SEK.
Västberga Handel is a 18,200 sq.m. retail and service facility.
“We don’t believe that we can develop the area around Västberga Handel in accordance with our vision and business model. The market conditions for divesting are currently very strong and thus we choose to sell and instead invest in our other sites, where the opportunities for urban development are better,” Annica Ånäs, CEO of Atrium Ljungberg comments.
The deal is made through a company takeover.
